What to bring!

The most important thing is that you are comfortable in what you are wearing whilst on the slopes.

You will need long warm trousers – so tracksuit bottoms or sallopettes, and a warm padded jacket with gloves too.

Thick socks would be a benefit too, as ski boots certainly aren’t like slippers!

We will provide skis, boots and a helmet (which must be worn by all participants!)

Food

You are welcome to bring your own drinks and refreshments, although our newly refurbished Terrace Bar will be able to provide drinks and food too. They currently sell home made pizza, soups and a whole host of home made ciabatta sandwiches.

For large groups we recommend we book food in advance by calling 01372 467132.

Facilities and things to note before you set off!

Please note that until the end of February, the disabled toilet facility will be limited to use at the main racecourse. This is accessed via footpath and internal roads within the racecourse and is probably 5-10 mins away.

However, there are changing facilities available on-site at Sandown Sports.

We have two disabled parking spaces available very close to the entrance to the Ski hut which makes it very easy to drive as close as possible to the entrance. We also have a drop off area right outside the main ski hut.

Book now by calling DSUK on 0845 521 9338 or email: bis.williams@disabilitysnowsport.org.uk
